Behavior Modification

The Behavior Modification program is designed to alter unwanted or undesirable behavior exhibited by your dog. This requires time and patience, as the causes of behavior problems are multifaceted.

Treating dogs for problem behavior requires deep knowledge of canine ethology as well as learning theory and human behavior. Results can vary individually as every dog’s personality, life experiences, and environments are unique.

We will start with a consultation to gather as much information as possible to understand your dog’s behavior. The consultation fee is credited towards the price of the training package if purchased after the consultation.

Some common unwanted behaviors are:

  • Dogs with Home Alone problems
  • Aggressive Behaviors
  • Fearful Behaviors
  • Destructive Behaviors
  • Unwanted Behaviors while On-Lead (walking)
  • Hyperactivity

We work with you and your dog to identify the causes and develop a training plan. You’ll get the knowledge and support you need to continue training and maintain your dog’s progress.

Requirements

  • We will require information on your dog’s medical history as some behavior problems can be caused by medical issues.
  • All safety measures must be agreed upon and abided by.
  • Dogs must be up-to-date on their core vaccinations and parasite prevention.

Pricing

  • Tier 1 (initial consultation + 4 sessions + ongoing support): $800 – For mild or newly developed behavior issues
  • Tier 2 (initial consultation + 6 sessions + ongoing support): $1150 – For moderate behavior challenges that may requiring more in-depth modification.
  • Tier 3 (initial consultation + 8 sessions + ongoing support): $1500 – For complex or deeply ingrained behavior problems.

What is ongoing support?

What is Ethology?

Ethology is the study of animal behavior in its natural environment.

Since training implies modifying an animal’s behavior, it is essential to first understand its natural behavior before beginning to change it.
